Donald Bolden – CFP®, CLU
President, Senior Wealth Advisor
Donald Bolden is the founder and president of CapSouth Wealth Management, dedicating his time to both corporate retirement plan clients and private clients, as well as the overall operation of the firm. He leads by example, inspiring both his employees and his clients. Donald founded CapSouth in April 2001; his prior experience includes over seven years as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and over seventeen years as the founder and president of a manufacturing and distribution business. As a business owner, he gained valuable experience with and insight into the problems that small business owners encounter.
His business career began in 1973 when he joined the insurance firm founded by his father, Paul L. Bolden, where he specialized in estate planning and private client and corporate life insurance programs. His professional designations include the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation, widely considered to be the benchmark for financial planning professionals and the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation.
Donald’s vision for CapSouth has been to build a firm of highly qualified individuals working together to provide:

Anthony McCallister – AIF®, J.D.
President and Director of CapSouth 401k Consultants
Anthony serves as Director of the CapSouth 401k Consultants, CapSouth Wealth Management, Inc.’s Corporate Retirement Plan Division. He has been with the firm since November 2006. Prior to CapSouth, he practiced law in the private sector.
Anthony graduated from Auburn University in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. In 2000, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, and in April 2001 he was admitted and authorized to practice law in all the courts of the State of Alabama, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. He was later admitted to practice law in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association. In 2007, Anthony earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Designation (AIF®) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He also holds the 66 license and insurance licenses.
As Director of the CapSouth 401k Consultants, Anthony is primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating all aspects of the corporate retirement plan client relationship. Areas included in this oversight are plan design, investment due dilegence, participant educational programs, and corporate retirement plan committee consultation.
Director of Business Development
Billy joined the firm in October, 2011, and currently serves as the firm’s Director of Business Development. He’s an advisor in the private client wealth management group, responsible for working with and managing private client relationships and providing ongoing assistance in CapSouth’s financial guidance program. Billy also manages CapSouth 401k’s participant education efforts and conducts individual account review meetings with plan participants. He hosts open enrollment sessions, per plan stipulations, and is available for investment counsel on an as needed basis. Billy coordinates the marketing efforts for CapSouth and CapSouth 401k.
Billy’s professional experience includes over fourteen years with BellSouth Communications in Atlanta in a systems design and sales position. In 2004, he joined the team that founded Wiregrass Church in Dothan, AL., as its Service Program Director, and later join the team that founded Cumberland Church in Franklin, TN. Billy is a 1990 graduate of Berry College in Rome, Ga., graduating cum laude with a BA degree in Communications with a Public Relations emphasis.
Billy currently resides in Dothan with his wife, Mary Lisa, and their four children.
Catherine Walding, CRPS®
Catherine serves as Client Associate for CapSouth 401k; she has been with the firm since November 2010. Prior to CapSouth, Catherine worked in the legal and communication fields. As Client Associate for CapSouth 401k, she is primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating all administrative aspects of the corporate retirement plan client relationship. Areas included in this oversight are plan design, investment due diligence, participant educational programs, and corporate retirement plan committee consultation.
Having graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science degree in General Studies, Catherine then earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Auburn University in 2002. She also holds a Series 65 license and has earned her Certified Retirement Plan Specialist designation (CRPS®).
J. Scott Fain
Scott has been with CapSouth since January of 2010. As a Wealth Manager, he is responsible for managing private client relationships, with the goal of utilizing industry leading tools to assist clients in making confident and sound financial decisions allowing them to achieve their one best financial life.
With an extensive background in the areas of estate planning, insurance, and annuities, Scott has an enhanced ability to work with clients’ legal and tax advisors to guide clients through their options and to help better prepare them to meet their stated goals and objectives.
Scott graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2009 from Troy University, where he continued on to complete a second bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2010. He holds various insurance licenses in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Oregon.
Scott grew up in Geneva and Enterprise, and he currently resides in Dothan. He is actively involved in the community, currently serving on the Regional Advisory Board for the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries, and serving as the Professional Development Director for the Dothan Area Young Professionals. In his free time, you are likely to find Scott riding horses, kayaking a river, or working on his family’s farm.
Jennifer became the firm’s first female Wealth Advisor in May of 2017. She opened the Charlotte, NC office which allows CapSouth to expand its geographic reach and provide superior client service in the Charlotte area. She is passionate about working with private clients to identify and clarify their goals and helping them achieve their one best financial life. Jennifer continues CapSouth’s full service client approach by advising private clients on financial planning, wealth management, portfolio management and estate planning. She also consults with businesses regarding succession planning and 401k programs.
Jennifer is a 2001 graduate of The University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. Degree in Journalism. She went on to pursue a Master’s Degree from Florida State University where she graduated in 2002 with a M.A. in Communications. Her professional experience includes over 14 years in sales and marketing.
Although born and raised in Georgia, she relocated to North Carolina 14 years ago and currently resides in Huntersville, NC with her husband Kevin and two children. In her free time, you are likely to find her cheering for one of her favorite sports teams, playing golf, cooking, or reading.
Assistant Vice President
Kara has been with the CapSouth team since 2012 and currently serves as the Assistant V.P. She is responsible for bookkeeping, finance, human resources, and also assists in research and portfolio management.
Kara was born and raised in Northern California, where she also attended Simpson University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She went on to work in several capacities including Audit Management, Sales Administration, Accounts Payable, and Business Operations Management. She moved to Dothan in 2008 where she resides with her husband and two children.
Managing Director, Senior Wealth Advisor
Lewis Robinson is a Retirement Income Solutions specialist. He leverages his 35+ years as a CPA to help individual clients formulate a financial plan, enabling them to fully understand their retirement needs and their estate planning needs. He also helps clients and their dependent family members find a reliable and predictable source of income during their retirement phase of their lives. Along with financial planning and retirement planning, Lewis assists clients with diversifying the taxation on the source of their retirement income.
Lewis joined CapSouth Wealth Management in 2011 after seeking to align with a company and leadership team that shared his retirement planning philosophies and principles. He is also a member of the Ed Slott Elite IRA Advisor Group, a well-respected national organization that supports its members as specialists in retirement incoming planning.
Prior to joining CapSouth Wealth Management, Lewis founded and led a McDonough, Georgia based public accounting and consulting firm, Robinson, Whaley Hammonds & Allison, PC, (“RWH&A”) which has since grown to become the largest CPA firm in the area with over twenty professional and support staff. At RWH&A, he specialized in tax planning, personal financial planning, business planning and estate planning for individuals and small to medium sized businesses in a variety of industries.
Lewis is a graduate of Georgia State University and a member of Beta Alpha Psi. He began his CPA career in Atlanta working with regional and national CPA firms. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of a publicly held company prior to joining a local CPA firm in Griffin, GA as a partner and principal.
Throughout his career, Lewis has been actively involved in a variety of community and non-profit organizations in senior leadership and board positions. He has received numerous rewards for his services to these organizations. He is also active in leadership roles, currently serving as an Elder, at his local church, McDonough Presbyterian Church.
Lewis is an avid photographer and a technology enthusiast, widely recognized as an early adopter of emerging technology systems and solutions. He is married to Pat Robinson, resides in McDonough, GA, and has four adult children and four grandchildren.
Lynn Lowrey joined CapSouth Wealth Management in May 2015 as a Client Associate and is now the Relationship Manager for the McDonough, GA office. She assists in developing client relationships and ensures personalized service to each client.
Lynn transitioned to the finance field after working 14 years with the GED Program at Southern Crescent Technical College. Prior to starting her family, Lynn began her career in Human Resources at Continental Can Company in Perry, GA. A common thread in all her endeavors has been assisting others in reaching their goals.
As a Georgia native, Lynn graduated from Auburn University in 1980 with a B.A. in Business/Marketing. She loves a good adventure and enjoys working on her bucket list of travel destinations. She and her husband, Wayne, have lived in McDonough since 2005 and are active members in the community and at McDonough Presbyterian Church. They have 2 adult children, Logan and Laura, and one perfect granddaughter, Lacey.
Marshall Bolden – CFA
Vice-President, Chief Investment Officer
Marshall serves as the Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at CapSouth. He has been with the firm since May 2001. Prior experience included an associate position at a major investment firm. As Chief Investment Officer, Marshall serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee and leads the firm in setting and monitoring asset allocations, choosing and monitoring investments, and in setting the guidelines and methodologies by which their work is done.
Marshall graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with B.A. degrees in Economics and Finance. In 2005 he earned the right to use the CFA designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Alabama. The CFA designation is globally recognized and is considered by many in the financial industry to be one of the most prestigious designations related to investments. He also holds the Series 66 designation.
Marshall resides in Dothan with his wife and daughter.
Director of Operations
Meredith is the Director of Operations for CapSouth Wealth Management. Part of her responsibilities are to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service, assist our client with various requests, acknowledge milestone events in our clients’ lives and assist in maintaining and growing the relationship between the client and CapSouth. She enjoys getting to know and developing friendships with our clients.
Meredith is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and has worked in the financial industry for over 9 years. Prior to joining CapSouth, she was a financial services associate with AmSouth Bank.
A Dothan native, Meredith enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. A strong believer in community involvement, Meredith formerly served on the boards of the Dothan Landmark Foundation and the Southeast Alabama Community Theatre. She is also an active member of the Episcopal Church of Nativity. Her hobbies include running, reading, the arts, traveling and college football.
Valarie Weisiger is the newest member of the CapSouth family joining the firm in January of 2016. Valarie comes to us with a background heavy in administration from both the for profit and not for profit business sectors. Valarie serves as a Relationship Manager charged with ensuring excellence in the client experience.
Valarie was born in Massachusetts, grew up in Charlotte, NC., received her Theology degree in Dallas, Texas, and finally settled in Dothan where she lives with husband Dave and their four children. Valarie and Dave spend the majority of their time at various, and numerous, ballfields around the city. And when there’s time, she enjoys a good run through the park. There’s a very good chance you’ll meet Valarie on your first visit to CapSouth.
