KARA ARMSTRONG
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Kara has been with the CapSouth team since 2012, working in many areas of the company including accounting, trading, human resources, and operations. In her current position as Chief Operating Officer, she enjoys doing whatever it takes to help our people, and our business, improve every day. Of our eight core values, Driven to Improve is her passion, and if asked, she’ll tell you there’s always something else to work on.
Kara graduated from Simpson University in Redding, California in 2005 with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. Her experience prior to CapSouth includes Radio Sales, Radio Business Office Management, Bookkeeping, and Accounts Payable Coordination for a large government contractor.
Though born and raised in Northern California, Kara has been living in Alabama since 2008. When not in the office, she is usually spending time with her husband and two children, attending church, going on weekend trips, or visiting her family back in California. As a former basketball player, she still pursues her passion for the game through local coaching opportunities. Outside of basketball season, Kara enjoys listening to live music, weekend trips for hikes in the mountains, and long lazy days at the beach with a classic novel.
