LEWIS ROBINSON, CPA

Lewis Robinson leverages his 35+ years as a CPA and his 10+ years as a Wealth Advisor to provide specialized retirement income solutions and tax planning services to CapSouth clients.  As the Director of CapSouth’s Advanced Planning team, he helps clients plan for key milestones such as timing of Social Security benefits, assists in minimizing taxation on retirement income, and enables clients to understand their estate planning needs. 

Lewis joined CapSouth Wealth Management in 2011 after seeking to align with a company and leadership team that shared his retirement planning philosophies and principles.

Prior to joining CapSouth Wealth Management, Lewis founded and led a McDonough, Georgia based public accounting and consulting firm, Robinson, Whaley Hammonds & Allison, PC, (“RWH&A”) which has since grown to become the largest CPA firm in the area with over twenty professional and support staff.  At RWH&A, he specialized in tax planning, personal financial planning, business planning and estate planning for individuals and small- to medium-sized businesses in a variety of industries.

Lewis is a graduate of Georgia State University and a member of Beta Alpha Psi. He began his CPA career in Atlanta working with regional and national CPA firms. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of a publicly held company prior to joining a local CPA firm in Griffin, GA as a partner and principal.

Throughout his career, Lewis has been actively involved in a variety of community and non-profit organizations in senior leadership and board positions. He has received numerous awards for his services to these organizations. He served fifteen years as Treasurer of McDonough Presbyterian Church.

Lewis is an avid technology enthusiast, widely recognized as an early adopter of emerging technology systems and solutions.   He is married to Pat Robinson, resides in McDonough, GA, and has four adult children and four grandchildren.
