PETER RAMSEY, MSM, CIMA®

Peter serves as Senior Investment Analyst for CapSouth Wealth Management.  In this role, Peter commits his time to managing portfolios of individuals by employing specific wealth preservation and growth strategies, while fulfilling the company’s commitment to provide a high-level client experience.  He has been with CapSouth since November 2021.   Prior to CapSouth, he was a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch.  

Peter developed an interest in business and investing at an early age, graduating from Delta State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree concentrating in Finance.  In 2018, he earned his Master of Science in Management with an emphasis in Leadership from the Troy University Sorrell College of Business.  In pursuit of enhancing his expertise in investment management, Peter diligently pursued and earned the right to use the Certified Investment Management Analyst ® designation in March of 2024.

Playing a key role in constructing customized portfolios for individuals and families based on specific personal needs and goals, Peter provides clients with a host of investment strategies to assist in meeting their objectives.   He then assists in implementing the investment strategies and regularly reviews them for adherence to their goals.    

Peter and his wife, Ashley, have two children, Clark and Cecilia.  Though originally from Hollandale, MS, Peter and his family reside in Dothan, AL. In addition to his commitment to helping others achieve their financial goals, Peter enjoys reading, staying active, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.  Peter serves on the Landmark Park Foundation Board of Directors and the Troy University MSM Advisory Board.
